Principal Investigator
Andrea Ciarini is the Principal Investigator for Fairwork Italy.
Andrea is an associate professor in Economic Sociology, at the Department of Social Science and Economics of Sapienza University of Rome. He is coordinator of the Master’s Degree program in “Project management and evaluation of social services”. He was visiting researcher at London School of Economics and Political Sciences (United Kingdom) and KU Leuven University (Belgium). He ccordinated several national and international projects. He is currently advisor to the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
His main research interests are in the fields of comparative welfare studies, labour market policies and digital platforms. His work has been published in International Review of Sociology, Stato e Mercato, Sociologia del Lavoro, PACO, Wiley-Blackwell’s Companion to Urban and Regional Studies.
