Beatriz Garcia

Beatriz is Deputy Country Programme leader for the Solidarity Center in Mexico (AFL-CIO).  
 
In the past, she served as the Executive Director of the Gamaliel of California Network, which supports community and faith leaders in building power and creating organisations that unite and empower people of diverse backgrounds to participate in the political, economic, environmental, and social decisions affecting their lives.  
 
Prior to this role, Beatriz was a lead organiser with SEIU-United Service Workers West and the Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy, the Director of Community Organising and Civic Engagement at the Jacobs Center for Neighbourhood Innovation, and the Organising Director of the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties.

She brings significant training, team building, and grant management experience and will be a wonderful asset to our growing team.
