Freja Hvid Kirchert

Freja Hvid Kirchert is part of the Fairwork Germany team as a working student. She has contributed to the research on location based platform work covering food delivery, ride hailing and domestic work platforms.

Freja is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Geographies of Global Inequalities at Freie Universität Berlin. She holds a BA in Working Life Studies from Roskilde University in Denmark. Throughout her studies, she has primarily focused on female labour migration, in particular to the healthcare sector in both Denmark and Germany.

Alongside her academic work, Freja has been involved in initiatives in Denmark and Germany organizing for better social, labour, and visa rights for migrant workers. This includes supporting the organising efforts of Wolt and Lieferando couriers, where she has helped organise community events, workshops, and strikes.
