María Inés has a BSc in Sociology and an MSc in Public Policy from the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU). She has collaborated in research and consultancy projects in different domains, such as the evaluation of social welfare policies and programmes, the link between education and work, policies and incentives for research, and public opinion studies in Uruguay.
María Inés works as Director of the Curriculum Design and Development Unit, Office of the Vice-Rector for Academic Programs, of the UCU.
For the Fairwork project in Uruguay, María Ines collaborates in conducting interviews with workers and executives of the platforms, as well as in the systematisation of the evidence and analysis of results.
