Shahidul Islam is a Research Lead at Fairwork Bangladesh and DataSense.

Shahidul possesses 10 years of qualitative and quantitative research experience in macroeconomics, regionalism, economic governance, and social sector. He has designed and implemented several studies on a variety of topics, with the field of economics being his primary academic interest.  

He has the experience of working in research positions in Bangladesh, Singapore, and China. Dr. Shahidul holds a Master’s degree (Economics) from the National University of Singapore and a Ph.D. (Economics) Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China.

For the Fairwork project, he works on research design, stakeholder management, strategic advocacy, and data analysis and interpretation.
