Fairwork’s follow-up assessment examines working conditions at Sama’s operations in Kenya and Uganda two years after the company’s first evaluation in 2023. For the 2025 evaluation, Fairwork documented 22 changes or new commitments introduced by Sama. These include updates to overtime and leave policies, adjustments to salary floors, revisions to contract templates, updates to data-privacy documentation, and modifications to grievance and whistleblowing procedures. Based on confirmed evidence of current policies and practice, Sama was awarded points for Fair Pay (1.1), Fair Conditions (2.1), and Fair Contracts (3.1), resulting in a total score of 3/10.
