In Brazil, digital platforms have become a central part of urban life, with millions of people relying on them for food delivery, ride-hailing, logistics, and domestic services. Yet, the Fairwork Brazil Ratings 2025 reveal that working conditions remain deeply precarious, marked by low pay, debt, unsafe conditions, and a lack of social protections. These findings are particularly significant at a time when debates over regulation in Congress and the Federal Supreme Court remain stalled, leaving workers without adequate rights and protections.
The third Fairwork Brazil report evaluates ten of the country’s most prominent digital platforms — 99, Americanas Entrega Flash, iFood, Lalamove, Loggi, Parafuzo, Rappi, Uber, InDrive, and Superprof — against Fairwork’s five principles: fair pay, fair conditions, fair contracts, fair management, and fair representation. The findings, based on desk research, company engagement, and 88 worker interviews across 26 cities, show that only InDrive and Superprof achieved one point each, while all other platforms scored zero. This worsening situation underscores the urgent need for strong policy action and corporate accountability to ensure platform workers in Brazil can access decent and fair work.
