Three years after its first publication, TEDIC is pleased to launch the second Fairwork Paraguay report. During this period, the platform economy in Paraguay has undergone notable changes. For instance, the transport platform InDriver has ceased operations in the country, illustrating the volatility and transience of platform-based work. This edition reviews sixmajor platforms: Bolt, Uber and Muv, which provide passenger transport services, and PedidosYa and Monchis, which specialise in goods delivery. These platforms remain the most visible in the national market. Acknowledging the continued expansion of platform work into new sectors, the study also assesses Helpers, a domestic work platform. The inclusion of this sector forms part of a coordinated effort across Fairwork reports in eight Latin American countries—simultaneously launched at the beginning of January—to highlight the growing reach of platform work across different areas of the economy.
