Fabian Ferrari is a researcher at the Fairwork project. He is also a doctoral student at the Oxford Internet Institute, University of Oxford. He holds an MSc in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics and a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Düsseldorf. His doctoral research is funded by the UK’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the University of Oxford (Scatcherd European Scholarship). His project focuses on the invisible labour in the shadows of AI.
In his research fields he deals with digital work, platforms and the effects of algorithms. He is particularly interested in the increasing general unsatisfaction and social conflicts that platform operators around the world are facing.
For the Fairwork project, Fabian conducts fieldwork and workshops in Germany, and is involved with ranking and rating German platforms.
