Amela holds a master’s degree in management from the School of Economics and Business, Sarajevo University. As part of the work at CREDI, she cooperates with several regional and local institutes and research centers engaged in the evaluation of programmes and policies in the country, including the labor market and migration, education, financial inclusion, and social welfare issues, and local economic development. She is a member of the Western Balkans Regional Initiative Future of the Welfare State, and she is active in several other regional networks related to labour market research.

Amela’s publications include Labour Markets in the Western Balkans 2019 and 2020, The effect of increasing the minimum wage on poverty and inequality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Gender differences in the effect of migration and remittances on labour market participation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
