Fydel Marcus Rolim Mota

Fydel Marcus Rolim Mota is a PhD student in Labor Law at Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). He also holds a master’s degree in Labor Law from the same university.
He is a member of the research groups ‘DTTSC – Labor Law and Critical Social Theory’ (UFPE) and ‘Trab21 – Trabalho no Século XXI’ (‘Work in the 21st Century’), affiliated with UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro). He is also a legal assistant at the Public Labor Prosecution Office (MPT) and a licensed labor attorney.
His main focus is on the intersections of labor law, technology, and capitalism within the Marxist theoretical framework, specifically on how the capitalist system has used technological artifacts (such as artificial intelligence and algorithms) to oppress, deceive, and/or subjugate the working class.
