Kristin Thompson is the project manager for the Fairwork Secretariat based at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center.

Kristin is an experienced research and project manager in the field of social inequalities and social policy research. Before joining the Fairwork project, she has worked in this position at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, SOCIUM Research Center on Inequality and Social Policy and the Center for Social Policy Research (ZeS) as well as for the research network Welfare Societies at the University of Bremen. She holds degrees in Sociology, Politics, Public Administration and Philosophy. Kristin completed her PhD on the topic of labour markets, working conditions and the socioeconomic status of pop and rock musicians in Germany. She is interested in research concerning social and economic inequalities, social policies, labour precariousness, impacts of digitalization and creative industries.
