This first Fairwork report for Peru presents information about the Fairwork project in Peru, which seeks to demonstrate the need to improve the working conditions of workers on digital labour platforms. Relevant data is presented on the labour and legal context in which these workers operate, as well as the criteria used to evaluate digital platforms according to the Fairwork principles. In addition, stories from workers are included that illustrate the situations they face in their daily work.
The results indicate that there is much work to do to improve working conditions on digital platforms in Peru. Continued efforts are needed to promote fair and decent work in this sector.
