Bartira Barros Salmom Souza

Research Assistant

Bartira Barros Salmom Souza is Research Assistant for the Fairwork Project in Brazil. Her main interests include new designs of work, cooperativism and social entrepreneurship, specially linked to digital platforms and workers’ organisation.

Bartira holds a master’s degree in Social Innovation for Sustainable Development from the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ITCILO) jointly with Università degli Studi di Torino.

She is a member of research groups ‘Trab21 – Trabalho no Século XXI’ (‘Work n 21st Century’), affiliated with UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and ‘Labour Law Research Network’. She is also Federal Labour Judge at São Paulo Regional Labour Court in Brazil.
