Jaka Primorac

Researcher

Jaka Primorac works as a Scientific Advisor at the Department for Culture and Communication at the Institute for Development and International Relations (IRMO), in Zagreb, Croatia. In 2010, she received her PhD in sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. Her research interests intersect the fields of the sociology of culture and media and the sociology of work, with a strong focus on qualitative methods. Jaka worked on a number of international and domestic projects funded by the European Commission Horizon Programme, COST, Croatian Science Foundation etc. Her recent work relevant to the Fairwork project includes the analysis of the impact of platformisation on cultural and audiovisual sectors focusing also on cloudwork (project coordinator of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet platEU project).
