Information on Data Processing

Fairwork uses Action Network to send emails and newsletters to supporters and run actions like petitions and events.

If you register for an action by Fairwork your data will be processed by Action Network on behalf of WZB Berlin Social Science Center (Reichpietschufer 50, D-10785 Berlin, Germany). By concluding a data processing agreement special measures were taken to ensure that your data is processed securely outside the European Union. We process your data (name, surname, E-mail address) for the following purposes: share updates on the Fairwork project, announce report releases and events, update on existing actions and campaigns and share job opportunities. We obtain this information directly from you when you fill in the respective form. The information the provision of which is mandatory is marked with an asterisk in the attached form. For the remaining information, you are free to decide not to provide it; in this case it will not appear in our communications. Your data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6.1(a) of the GDPR) which you give by registering for a Fairwork action (form, event, petition, etc.). Your data will be stored as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of data collection. After these periods, your data will be deleted or anonymized according to the highest standards. To withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data unsubscribe from Fairwork’s email database at any time. The withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. In case of withdrawal your data will be deleted.
