Kiko Tovar
Investigator
Francisco-José (Kiko) Tovar is an Investigator with the Fairwork Spain team.
He is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology: methodology and theory at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he teaches the sociology of communication and socio-labour policies (among other things).
His main areas of interest are the study of organisations and their implications for individuals; and the analysis and discussion of the key concepts which underpin European employment policies such as flexicurity, employability or activation. Similarly, Tovar has researched collective industrial identities in decline, as well as the characteristics and consequences of Industry 4.0. Such works have been published in International Sociology, International Journal of Heritage Studies, Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas or Les Politiques Sociales, among others.
