Lola Brittain
Research Assistant
Lola Brittain is a research assistant on the Fairwork Project. Since joining the team in May 2023, Lola has conducted research about working conditions on location-based platform and at companies that deploy and develop AI. This includes a recent report about the impact of AI on working conditions in UK-based Amazon warehouses.
As well as her focuses at Fairwork, Lola is also interested in the application and integration of cooperative principles into digitally mediated workplaces. Originally from Nottingham, but based in London, she previously contributed to the operations of Wings, a food delivery platform cooperative based in London, and has written think pieces and reviews on the topic. Prior to joining Fairwork, Lola worked for a boutique market research firm in London, conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. She holds an BA in history from the University of Leeds, and an MSc in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics.
