Lola Brittain is a researcher on the Fairwork Project. Joining the team in May 2023, Lola has conducted research about working conditions on location-based platform and at companies that deploy and develop AI. This includes a recent report about the impact of AI on working conditions in UK-based Amazon warehouses.

Lola is interested in the impact of algorithmic management and robotic automation processes on the workplace experience. She is also interested in the application and integration of cooperative principles into digitally mediated workplaces. She previously contributed to the organisation and strategy of Wings, a food delivery platform cooperative based in London, and has written think pieces and reviews on the topic. Prior to joining Fairwork, Lola worked for a boutique market research firm in London, conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. She holds an BA in history from the University of Leeds, and an MSc in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics.
